That new buble tea place
Being a fan of bubble tea, I was really keen to try out this pretty hidden store.
I was thinking that it's so great to have such a place just close by, instead of the pretty amazing yet some distance away Momo and Ezy way.
So off I dragged Hyde to the place.
The prices were pretty average. Not expensive, which was a good thing for me.
In a way, I felt that they don't have a big variety of selections. Like foodwise, it's not as bubble tea like to not have those Taiwan snacks like the chicken nibbles. But I guess maybe they are trying to have their own uniqueness in not being the same as other places.
So the place is called Luna Tea, and they have some beverages with the name in it. I guess that makes them the special yummy ones? Don't know. haven't tried if they are really special.
I had a special creation however, of mocha with green tea. I love both of them... so thought to try it out. kind of regretted it. actually I did regret. Should have thought that two strong flavors together totally doesn't make it taste good. And it was a pretty thick tea, kind of in between normal liquid and a smoothie... so it was a pretty interesting experience for me. If you wanted to know what it's called, I think it was "Mocha meet's kawai" or something. totally dun get why they put the Japanese word for cute - kawai in it. just sounds a bit cheesy for me XD
Hyde got a taro with pearls. Now you can never get wrong with taro... or so we thought. I really love taro flavored asian stuff... but this wasnt the same. The tea didn't look the usual purple as a taro drink would have as well. It may sound weird, but you could actually taste two different flavors- the tea. the taro. I have no idea why the flavors didn't blend. So wasn't too happy with that too.
Other than drinks, Hyde ordered a waffle. Now I must say their food are actually quite good. Or for this case, that waffle. If I were to head to this place again, I think I would just go for the snacks, unless somebody whom I trust recommends a drink from the place.
For now, I guess that distance to ezy way is quite worth it.
Sorry that I didn't decide to translate all the stuff on the menu to English. They have a menu in English on site though, so pop by and experience the new bubble tea place.
P.s. if anyone wants my card that already has one stamp on it, it'll be waiting for you. =D
P.s.s. this post is just my general thoughts. you might be impressed with the place. I wouldn't be surprised, since it has been awhile since I was there, and I think maybe they improved
