My Poem for ah gong
"Soon"
Basking in all the love and care,
He sits in silent and always stare.
Everyday the same clothes he wears
not knowing why he's always in despair.
Daily taxi rides around the block,
a massage every Saturday at five o'clock,
a personal maid following with his cloak,
You can't say he's a poor old bloke.
It's been years since I last heard you cry,
the scary sounds that I don't know why,
but your love for us I think "Oh my!",
please stay well for on the plane I soon shall fly.
Are you lonely over there without the TV?
That you always have super loud even early at three.
Are the meals over there to your taste,
that makes your heart race?
I don't think I've hugged you,
but I don't want to think it's too late,
because at this rate,
you make me want to precipitate.
Henry and I will come your way,
with gifts of love and as a friend to play.
But we might have to work on our chop suey,
and all other stuff the real asian say.
I hope you're fine without beer in Taipei,
since I think you'll enjoy us coming to party,
with chocolates and Japanese fishes that make you sway,
oh please oh please do let us come to stay!
So it's something for my lovely granddad from my mom's side, who I heard is in the hospital now. He has Alzheimer's as long as I remembered. Ahh I really hope to see him in January ~~♥
